The original Lenovo Smart Clock was a simple and functional piece of tech that punched out of its weight class and put similar devices to shame. The latest version–the Lenovo Smart Clock 2–set to drop later this year, builds on the success of the original with a vibrant 4″ touch screen (for time, weather, photos, and the like) and the add-on ability to charge personal wireless devices off to the side. What’s more, it’s built with front-firing 3W speakers, seamless mobile / PC / other Google-enabled device integration, and can control up to 50,000 compatible devices with voice or touch. Louder, crisper sounds with room-filling audio, along with clearer vocals and better tones, make this a high-performance alternative to the slightly cheaper and more ubiquitous smart assistance devices on the market. The Lenovo Smart Clock 2 starts at $90 and is expected to available in September of this year.
