There’s no denying the fact that Sony is one of market leaders when it comes to accessible, end-user technology–especially when it comes to optics and cameras. For instance–the Sony Alpha a6000 was built with the world’s fastest autofocus, and the A5100 was built with the world’s smallest interchangeable lens. While those breakthroughs were certainly substantial and renowned in their own rights, the larger issue these days is how they play into the Airpeak Drone marketplace. The Airpeak quadcopter drone with stabilizing arms is built to full support the creativity of video and artistic creators out there by being built to accommodate a payload of an Alpha mirrorless camera to facilitate the capture of high quality, full frame, aerial photography and video. With the attached gimbal, seemingly unprecedented control and integration with existing high-caliber camera options, this drone setup could be a significant improvement over other options on the market if you already own a Sony camera. No hard details about the Sony Airpeak have been released as of yet, but we expect them to be available in the near future.
