While U.S. currency has undergone changes over the years, perhaps it’s time for a full overhaul, one that ditches the familiar look in favor of something bolder. Enter Andrey Avgust, a graphic designer from Belarus, who took the iconic look of our paper money and transformed it into a collection of cash we’d have a harder time parting with. While Avgust thought of everything from security elements to construction material, it’s the designs that stand out, as vivid new colors now pair with vertical images. These are, without question, major changes, as Avgust gave Andrew Jackson the boot and inserted JFK onto the $20, went realistic with imagery and faces, and selected a more modern font. Still, we’re fans, and having these bills in our pocket might actually curtail a bit of our spending.
