From their water bottles to their insulated mugs, we’ve long considered MiiR an essential outdoors brand. Now, MiiR is taking a swing at our morning brew. As everyone who has taken the plunge into specialty coffee will tell you, the Chemex is a universal entry point. It revolutionized the pour-over experience with a now iconic design. But, there’s always room for improvement.
MiiR has swapped out the glass for a durable stainless steel carafe that not only makes it shatter-proof but also much more insulated. So, your morning coffee will stay warm for much longer. And you don’t need to be as delicate while washing and storing your carafe. It’s a simple innovation that can make a serious difference. MiiR has constructed its New Standard Carafe from 18/8 stainless steel and 100% post-consumer recycled plastic with double-wall vacuum insulation. They’ve also designed specific filters though they ensure any conical filter should fit their carafe. MiiR is releasing the New Standard Carafe through Kickstarter and have included a bundle with a premium digital coffee scale. The New Standard Carafe is available to back on its own for $85 while the digital scale bundle costs $125. MiiR expects to deliver units in April 2023 and the campaign, which ends March 19, is only $4,000 shy of its goal at the time of writing.
