Remember all those days of yesteryear wandering down the aisles of your local (now defunct) toy store attempting to goad your parental units into buying you the latest action figure from whatever the most recent science-fiction hit was? We do, and you probably do, too. It was probably Star Wars. (If it wasn’t, it was probably Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, GI Joe, Hot Wheels, or something similar). All those figures you coulda shoulda talked them in to buying have turned into Bitcoin-esque investments that have skyrocketed in value over the decades. (Don’t even get us started on Magic cards.) But the current discussion is all about Kenner Star Wars figures because they’re the showrunner on the latest Morphy auction. The lowest price on any of the items at this time is $75 for a 1983 Star Wars 8d8 Loose Graded Action Figure AFA 85 which, honestly, given the scope of the other figures in this auction–from what we understand anyway–is an absolute bargain… despite the fact everything else seems to be valued in the triple or quadruple digits.
