Say what you will about the BMW M3’s massive kidney grilles, the car is still a ferocious performer. The M3 Competition, even more so. Now, comes an even more extreme flavor known as the M3 CS. Under the hood is a 543 hp TwinPower Turbo inline-six engine that routes power to all four wheels via a rapid-fire M Steptronic automatic transmission. The sprint to 60 mph takes just 3.2 seconds, and it tops out at 188 mph. Aiding performance and handing are an Active M Differential, BMW’s most advanced chassis technology, and available M Carbon ceramic brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. And just so onlookers won’t mistake it for a “regular” M3 Competition, the CS gets gold or black M-specific wheels, additional carbon fiber trim, a frameless grille set, yellow-hued daytime running lights, and a new Frozen Solid White metallic paint choice. Inside, the CS gets M Carbon sport seats, M seatbelts, a big BMW Curve Display with special M graphics, and an M Lap Timer. The M3 CS will be built in limited number (quantity unspecified) and will start production in March.
