There had been rumors that musician Frank Ocean would be launching his own fashion line for years. And now he’s finally cemented himself among the list of hip hop and R&B artists to delve into the world of high fashion. When it was announced on Friday, Homer was described in a press release as an “independent American luxury company.” Frank Ocean’s first collection was unveiled in a catalog that featured an extensive collection of unique, limited edition jewelry and accessories. The collection, with whimsical designs and color combinations, looked like it belonged on the set of Uncut Gems. Highlights included enamel plus-symbol pendants, “sphere legs” pendants, silk scarves, and diamond-encrusted bracelets. The prices of the collection ran the gamut with some entry-level options around the $400 mark and a necklace that runs $1.9 million. Additionally, Frank Ocean announced that, along with the digital site, he would be opening a physical location to sell his wares. Homer’s headquarters is 70-74 Bowery in Manhattan and is appointment-only. But, if you’re just looking to window shop virtually, you can head to Homer and poke around with a mixtape from Orlando-based producer 454 soundtracking the experience.
