I’m not sure I’m even going to need to wear cologne anymore. Their ocean-inspired Kiawah version is a sensory escape to the tides off the South Carolina coast with Virginia cedar, citrus, and amber notes. “These are not Ray-Bans and they are not meant to replace them or any other pair of premium sunglasses. These are meant to protect your eyes and just be acceptable-looking. I make it a habit every spring to pick up a pack of these sunglasses just to toss a pair or two in my car, by the lawnmower, and the rest in a small bowl by the back door of my house for those occasions when you are going to be outdoors and you just want to have some eye protection. “While I’m not an athlete myself (sorry, Dad), I have one of those compact, hobbit-like bodies that are sometimes hard to dress well in off-the-rack suits. Usually I go bespoke or get a tailor to fit my ‘problem areas’, as he kindly puts it. But this year, with more weddings on the horizon, I held my breath and ordered a suit online from State & Liberty and was…pleasantly surprised. It’s designed to have a tailored construction with emphasis on an athletic tapered leg for a bit of extra room in the seat and thighs. “I took up squash recently and it requires shoes with non-marking soles. Meaning they will not leave marks on the squash court. The selection of squash shoes leaves a lot to be desired. These ASICS had the right size, price, availability, and good reviews on Amazon. I played my first game in them last week and they were surprisingly comfortable and lightweight and had good traction on the court too. I still suck at squash, but at least I have a decent pair of kicks.” Buy: $160
