Seeing sustainability creep its way into huge manufacturing operations is always encouraging. One of the newer examples is the Nike Air Max Terrascape 90. They’re made of at least 20 percent recycled materials and their cupsole incorporates scraps from the manufacturing process into the speckled design. They come in two color schemes, which Nike describes as “Sail/Sea Glass/Black” and “Black/Lime Ice/Anthracite/Dark Grey”. We’d probably go for something closer to off-white and dark grey, but the marketing department has to put some kind of copy down, so they can be forgiven for wordiness. They seem like a good shoe for impulsive exercising. Don’t make them your main running or lifting shoe, but if the mood hits you and they’re the only thing at foot, you’ll be comfortable.
